Mystery red sliding things on squeeze clamp

Got a pair of Parkside squeeze clamps from Lidl. Work well, total bargain [£3!]. But what are these loose red bits? They can slide up and down the bar, or fit snugly at one end or the other.

Can they be turned upside down, to support a bar, or similar, when you are clamping it?

dont know the answer but in general some clamps can be spreaders so pushing--- work out if they are spacers to allow pushing or other actions

Yes, agree.
The rotating knob, should unlock the clamp from the bar.

They're support feet, so you can stand the piece upright on a bench. handy for marking across both stiles of a window for mortices, glazing bars, and that.
