Same question as in previous post but asked a different way.

To fit the cladding I need 2.5mm x 60mm Annular Ringed nails.

Now I have a Hitachi 1st Fix nail gun which I think could be compatible with this nail or a Paslode IM65 which I'm sure isn't.

Does anyone have experience if this nail and associated nail gun please.

Aren't 2.5mm nails normally the ones that come on a coil for the lighter duty nailers?

What is the model number of the Hitachi?

I recently "got" a plaslode IM350+ It goes down as low as 2.5mm * 50mm on ring shank nails.

On a side note, would a first fix nailer be too powerful for tongues and no finesse for face nailing?

TBH, I don't know, I haven't used mine yet.

A mate had acquired one (legally). I gave him a discount to hang some doors in return for the previously owned IM350+.

The only other pin gun I own is a 18g compressor based gun, and the brads are to small for exterior work.

My first fix would punch a dent into the cladding face everytime it drives a nail and as far as the tongue is concerned it would definitely split it.

I witnessed a "Carpenter" fix oak weatherboard to a garage using a first fix nail gun, the result was shocking, horrendous.

On finishes the first fix should be left in the shed.
