Need to level floor - Mix of concrete and boards

Hi,

I've just taken up some big horrible flags out of my kitchen that were laid on an inch or so of cement (still to do under kitchen units).

I plan to put laminate down but the surface is going to need levelling.

There is a concrete section, boarded section (little uneven) and some channels, one was some water pipes in. I've contacted a few floor fitters, but they aren't responding once I show them the pictures! Either they don't want the work or they don't like the look of the job.

I'm unsure if I can simply buy some self leveller and pour in the gaps? Or will I need to plywood it all and then pour self leveller on top of the whole floor? It's around 16 square meters in total.

Appreciate any advice! Picture below.

 
Some levellers will go to an inch thick but I would personally fill the gaps in with 4 parts sand 1 parts rapid set cement, mixed with 50:50 water and SBR.

Then I would 50:50 Water/SBR the whole floor and whilst still tacky, float down leveller. You could mix bags and pour as you go.

I've even done 3 parts building sand 1 part rapid cement and 50:50 water/SBR, floated a runny mix down and as it's setting, rub it with a wooden float and sometimes with a brick.

I only use rapid set cement to get that kind of job done in the day.

With it going over wood, maybe a laytex self leveller would be ideal.
 
Whatever you do, protect (Denso Tape/conduit) those copper pipes or remove them first!

Worried about getting it wrong as I know it could be a massive pain to fix.

My garage floor could do with going over so might practice on that first!
 
I’d put 6mm ply on the wood sections
Then use primer and tile master levelflex on the channels.
Then prime and screed the lot at 5mm.
