Nest 3 Heat link to vaillant ecotec plus 831

Hi all,

Just some advise on how to connect the nest 3rd Gen heat link to my vaillant ecotec plus 831 boiler.

Would I remove the jumper/link between 3 & 4.
connect number 3 on boiler to Heatlink L and a jumper/link to 2 on Heatlink also.
connect number 4 on boiler to Heatlink 3.
connect number 5 on boiler to Heatlink N.

Is this correct, if not could you tell me the correct way via a sketch or step by step instructions

would your method be sufficient for powering and controlling the Heatlink?

Thanks for the reply, I have no other thermostats fitted
So to power up and controller the Heatlink,

Boiler 3 to Heatlink 2

Boiler 4 to Heatlink 3

Boiler L to Heatlink L

Boiler N to Heatlink N

Just a couple of questions
What temperature do I set my boiler to for the radiators and hot water ?

have wired all as suggested but nest does NOT switch boiler on/heat radiators.
Just to clarify this is what I have done.
Boiler 3 to Heatlink 2

Boiler 4 to Heatlink 3

Boiler L to Heatlink L

Boiler N to Heatlink N

Have also tried .....

boiler 3 to Heatlink L and 2.

boiler 4 to Heatlink 3

boiler 5 to Heatlink N

Any ideas or suggestions why nest will not turn on heating ? I have a green light on heat link, and nest says it is heating but boiler remains off !!!
Please help, thank you
 
How did you control the heating before?
If it was with a built in clock this will need setting to permanently on.

Thanks for your reply, heating and programming was done by the inbuilt vaillant digital programmer timeswitch.
How would I set to permanently on ?
