Hi guys, New here.
I have a nest E thermostat which I've put in replace of a honeywell t6360. I've wired this is before at a previous address with no issues. However this time round no matter what wires I put in what place the heating stays permanently on. The nest thermostat is on the off setting yet the boiler does not cut out.
Does anyone have any ideas before I melt in the heat?

Have you tried refitting the Honeywell? Could be another fault. What system do you have? Y plan, s plan, c plan, w plan, combi boiler?

I have a combi boiler. I've tried refitting the honeywell and that works and turns the boiler off perfectly fine. No issues. Just checking I am putting the wires in the correct place

Cheers

So it should just be live and switched live to Com and NO. That’s it.

That's what I thought. But still the boiler just stays on even when the nest is set to off .. I'm confused haha

I would remove one wire and put it safe in a choc block as a test, boiler should then stop working, it does seem a fault with Nest e, but taking the N/O wire out will prove it.

As to melt in the heat, there must be a secondary problem as the TRV's should turn radiators off, so all that should happen is boiler fire up, by-pass valve open, and boiler turn off again.
