Hello

I am about to start my tiling in my upstairs bathroom which I delayed from last year.
I just made a quick sketch of my drainage plan.

Please see below, is it all good for Uk Regs. My Building Officer told me that it is best to use 50mm. then connect your 40mm pipes to it. Using riding bends etc.

Let me know. Thanks.

Good idea with the 50mm. Keep an eye on the various falls needed, baths can be tricky (planning runs so you get the required fall without having to put massive holes or notches in joists). Brass soil pipe? I'd be surprised ...

not brass sorry, steel or... not sure to be honest. i had to hammer the top part of it to make it a perfect 110mm

also, it's all above joists, over the tiles but will be boxed up nicely. I am not too keen on hidden pipes under tiled floors.... just don't want an issue with leaks etc....

Fair enough, easier that way when you have the room. Just watch the falls, for couplers either use solvent weld or good quality compression.
