New Flat Roof - Replacing Concrete Roof

Hi,

Planning on removing an old concreate flat roof and will be replacing it with a timber joist cold deck. Wanted some advice how to finish this off on the neighbors side as they have pitched roof and the side has just been cladded.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

You would have to speak to your neighbour as a lead apron would need to be put under their weatherboard.
Why are you removing the concrete roof? Have you considered pitching the roof similar to next door.

Concreate has cracked and is leaking so i thought its best to get rid of this and go in with a cold deck and have it insulated.

Okay so i would need to lift the white facia and tack a lead flashing there?

Any ideas how these concreate roof a likely to be formed, as in poured to make one big slab or are they slotted slabs?

Just wanted to know what tools would be required to remove this?

Poured reinforced concrete.

You will need a medium duty breaker, possibly an angle grinder or a pair of bolt crops. How are you going to vent a cold deck in that location?

Is the room below in use? lumps/slabs of concrete are going to fall, slab may continue through to next door, you may weaken the walls below, not an easy job, Alastairs suggestion above would be easier

Is your neighbours concrete roof still in place ?
They may have just pitched the tiled roof over it.
If so breaking your side out may cause issues their side

I suspect the way to tackle that, would be to board it out below, with lots of acros, to take the weight, as the concrete is broken up above. That assumes that the neighbour, has removed theirs.
