Hi l recently had a new shower base/tray installed , l think the material is polymarbe not sure, its 900mm by 900mm . There was some previous water damage to the wooden subfloor which was repaired , that why l needed a new base because it got a crack in it. For the first 2 months after installation there was no creak noises at all but it only started past 2 weeks, Here in Australia we have just gone into winter past few weeks and the weather has got alot colder, could that be an explanation or would that be unlikely. l get the creak noise when l both stand on the base and when l stand on the bathroom floor, for example if l stand on the bathroom floor l get the noise not from where l am standing but the noise comes from the base a meter away, The noise sounds like it coming from the back of the base , perhaps from inside the lower wall where the base meets the wall. Anyone have an idea what if they think it could be something serious l should check or is it something fairly normal that will probably go away in time

It can only be creaking if it's moving. If it's moving, it's not been supported correctly. Creaking will eventually lead to leaking, or cracking. Likely needs the whole lot ripping out and starting again

Probably because you are upside down? Causes more stresses!

thanks the noise seems to be coming at the back of the base from inside the wall, where the base meets the wall, but it only started the past 2 weeks and it was installed 2 months ago, it happens not just when l step on the base itself but the bathroom floor, l cant have it pulled up again, that would be too expensive, l bet the guy who installed it will just say its not his fault

As suggested, that points out an area that hasn't been secured properly and is moving/rubbing against things. Only way that can be corrected is find the area that's moving and fix it.
