Apparently these are set to replace traditional speed and red light cameras across the UK. Starting up north.

When they are installed they look like this:

When they are de-installed they look like this:

Surely only speeders and red-light gamblers would be motivated to risk a serious penalty by destroying these cameras.

I had the unforunate experience of T-boning a red-light jumper many, many years ago.
I stopped dead at the site of impact due to my low speed. They careered on for many metres into a shop doorway. Fortnuately no-one else was involved. But any predestrians who might have been minding their own business, and hit by the speeding red-light jumper, would have been killed or very seriously injured.

This is a bad thing?

and braking distance violations etc etc.. Automatic enforcement tech, always needs careful management and adoption. It's a numbers game. People need to feel that the enforcement is justified. I was surprised that people were out attacking them so quickly.
The hedge in the background is a labour of love (y)
maybe it was an accident as the guy was trimming his hedge.

A bit of googling suggests it was a bit of a cash cow and people didn’t realise it worked both ways.

Coincidence that the speed limit was cut at about the time the camera was installed.

I see pale male stale is getting a hard-on over criminals vandalising property again. Fear not, he'll be showing his true blue (gammon) colours when some lefties scale a statue.
You’ll give yourself an aneurism with all this stress about the colour of my skin.

The reference to the colours were obviously figurative. It's the flip-flopping of your interpretations of the law depending on your political viewpoint that's the real problem.

you don’t think it’s predictable that if you lower the speed limit, install a new high tech speed camera, nick 12,000 people in a few months.. There is a chance that one or two might be upset?

But nosenout doesn’t have to worry the ones in staffs are all working fine. The real criminals will of course carry on driving disposables without insurance immune from prosecution. Seems to be a major problem in the West Midlands.
