Nissan X Trail corrosion.

I am thinking of buying a low millage Nissan X Trail, but I have been told they do suffer with tin worm, around the rear.
Any advice on were specifically to look ? And other common issues to check for ?

See the other thread running about one if its the same sort of year.
Id personally walk away from them and look for something else.

Chassis rails. Not unknown for them to rot right through and the whole vehicle "fold over".

But they generally rot badly.

I'd avoid too

I think you’ll find many vehicles of this type have similar issues......I was underneath a 61 plate RAV 4 in the summer and the underbody corrosion was shocking. The paintwork was fine though.
Similarly, a 59 plate Landcruiser had bits falling off the underside.
