Mike was the only one of the Monkees who was a 'proper' musician. Think his roots were in country and western, wasn't keen on the Monkees but Mike had a global hit with a song called Rio in his post Monkee days, great song.

 
I thought he died a while ago! Was skimming the F1 pages looking for news on the Mercedes appeal and come across this half way down the page.

His first production car was so aerodynamically efficient that at 50mph with the windows open, a newspaper on the rear shelf wouldn't so much as rustle, and if it was raining, windscreen wipers weren't required. Clever bloke.

Went a bit downhill with the Mk1 Europa. For cost reduction it didn't have opening windows and the fresh air intake scoop instead of being on top of the bonnet near the windscreen was beneath the front bumper. If you pulled up at traffic lights behind a bus, you had to open a door and put your head out, or die.

Nice looking cars though.
