I have a wi-fi OBD2 diagnostic code reader.

Will this work on pre OBD2 systems with a specific adaptor lead?

In particular a 1996 Toyota Previa with the 22 pin outlet.

Interesting posts here:
Apparently some models had an OBD1 connector under the seat, but an OBD2 in the fuse box on the dashboard.
I'm afraid I can not verify these claims! :)

Other than that, I think the OBD1 protocol is different to 2 and may need an emulator, or a reader that states it's compatible with both (as well as the convertor cable).
But I'm not an expert and could be completely wrong! :)

Ah interesting indeed. I have looked on that site but didn't find that post.
There seems to be some variation in the introduction years.

My vehicle definitely has the "OBD1" 22 pin DLC under the seat but definitely not the OBD2 in the fuse box.
It's odd that any might have both.

Ok. Thanks for your help.
