Got called to a job where the tenant had reported a leak from the kitchen ceiling. Had a look in the bathroom above and the overflow from the WC was connected to an appliance supply pipe 
(it looked nice in the bright blue) which disappeared behind the bath panel, I removed the bath panel and the pipe was just pushed into the original overflow pipe which was angled back into the house due to the appliance pipes weight
Now somebody did that job and stood back and went "Yep, that will be fine" and walked away.
