Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas/ solutions. I know it’s not a DIY question per say but not sure where else to ask! Our house has an old warehouse behind it and their overhead telephone wires are attached to the side of our house. Realistically it’s not a huge deal but it looks really unsightly and I’d really like to have them taken off my house as they serve no purpose to us apart from looking rather untidy!

I’m not sure how to go about this or who to contact as the building is abandoned/vacant. I’ve attached some pictures for reference.

AIUI Openreach don't deal with end customers directly, forcing them to go through their "communication provider" but in this context you are not an end customer, you are someone who's property openreach's network happens to be attatched to. They seem to have a dedicated form for requests related to such.

There should have been a wayleave agreement when the cable was installed.

as the building is abandoned/
Which might result in the cable attachment to the building failing ( screws pulled out of decaying timber ) allowing the cable to drop onto your property and possibly creating a hazard to you on your property

Good luck getting any sense out of openreach, I contacted them to move a cable as I needed to fell a dangerous tree overhanging the road .They didn't want to know unless there was damage to the line so I dropped the tree on it....job sorted

Squirrels have a habit of chewing through phone cables round my way
