padstone less than 150mm for over 3m lintel

As you can see the pad stone bearing (in yellow box) for lintel is 115mm instead of the minimal 150mm required.
However, this is structural engineer's calculation, building inspector is happy with it.
So maybe the rule isn't quite "150mm" length of the bearing but the actual area, maybe 15,000 mm2 (150mm * 100mm)? Can anyone with more expertise in this area help me to understand? It would be great if any reference can also be provided.
 
I thought the bearing is 100mm min so it doesn't fill the cavity?

I'm having a 7m beam with 100mm bearing in each cavity so hope that is correct.

Thanks Matlob, quite a few different places I googled on the internet suggest the minimal bearing each side is 150mm. But it could well be wrong understanding from my side.

The 150 is a good general 'shall be deemed to comply' number- a BCO looking at a lintel with that bearing won't bat an eyelid. Proper structural engineers (with professional indemnity) can specify whatever they can prove is safe through calculations (sometimes very specific to the job)
 
The 150mm doesn’t apply if it’s bearing onto a wall at right angles to it. So it’s a brick width’s worth.
