I used a sulphuric acid based drain cleaner to clear a drain blockage. Unfortunately I got is over all over the walls and some ceiling tiles (stupidly I used a compressed air gun after laying down the acid and it shot it out of the trap!!!!)

I washed down the surface and painted it, however the acid still remained over the walls and it shows through the paint.

I then used a paint stripper to remove the new and original paint, washed it down thoroughly and repainted. Still the same problem!

Is there any primer or sealer that I could use to stop the acid from affecting the finish?

Hope someone can help

Jack

You will have to neutralise the acid, you may be able to do it by spraying the area with sodium carbonate solution, and then rinsing with water.
