Patio on lawn - slope and spacers needed?

Hi, I'm attempting to lay my first patio - 5x4 B&Q textured paving slabs at 600x600x35mm each, so roughly 3m x 2.4m - with limited traffic as we'll just put low chairs and a garden coffee table on it.
- As the patio is at the end of the garden by the fence, and not near the house, is there still a need to try to get a slope?
- Also, is there best practice (any dis/advantages) as to whether to lay the slabs tight together (which appears easy enough with the ones I'm using) or to use something like a Gapfast 10mm spacer?
Many thanks,
RF

The slope is to avoid standing water

Dunno about the gap. My patio is edge to edge.

If you want a consistent gap just cut some wood up and use it as temp pegs

Many thanks. Will go for the slope and lay them tight against each other as that's how these ones are shown on the website.
