Pergola anchored in tall planters

Hi, is it possible/safe to screw 4 tall planters to decking and concrete in posts for a pergola? Said pergola will be approx 2.5x4 & 2.5 tall.

What would be growing on it?
Any kind of sun shade? Split cane matting?

You'd be surprised at how much lift a load of foliage can generate on a windy day

In part of my job I deal with outdoor events and it's common for people to post on a forum when an outdoor stage put up by amateurs turns into a sail and topples over. You'll need quite big pots full of concrete to ensure it stays in place

Most likely some removable fabric on the top. Nothing growing. Faux leaf trellis on the sides maybe. Possibly using 90-100cm pots.
