Hello forum.

I have a - in my opinion - strange problem with the lights on my Peugeot 206 CC.
First off, it's a 2001, 1.6 16V with a good history for service. It makes no fuzz, doesn't chew oil or weird sounds.

All of a sudden, the rear lights, number plate lights, rear foglight and the front courtesy lights stops working.

The low beam and high beam works. The front fog lights work. All blinkers and brake lights work. Nothing on the little orange screen in the dashboard.

I change the bulbs, although visually they should still work, but you never know.
I check the fuses. Find no issue.
I check the ground connections in the boot and the two under the front head lights. No issue, but I unscrew them, clean them and tighten them. Just to be on the safe side.
I have cleaned those things the bulbs are put in, just to be sure it's not an issue with corrosion. (I'm Danish, some technical terms are not the easy to remember).
I haven't changed the bulbs in the number plate lights or the front courtesy lights.

Can someone point me in another direction, so I can get out of this issue, with a full head a hair?

I've been searching for a thread that matches my inquiry, but with no luck.

Purely guessing here but the lights/indicator stalk is notorious for problems on this car.....its called the Comm2000 (I think) has its own ecu and is worth investigating.
Does the stalk feel flimsy at all?
John :)

Hmm, no flimsyness detected.
Could that really be it? I'm a noob in the electrical department, I can barely hook up a new amplifier.

Logic tells me that the likely problem is to be the column switch or maybe a relay that it controls, but I can't say buy part A or B or whatever because it may not be necessary.
If you have double checked all of the fuses (not forgetting there are often fuses hiding under the bonnet, near the battery) then I'd find a local auto electrician....it could save you many headaches in the long run!
John :)

Well, I went digging in the manual and online, so I'm confident that I've been around all the fuses.

I think you're right. With the prices in Denmark, it'll probably be cheaper having a competent guy/girl giving it a proper look.
