This is purely theoretical, but would one need planning permission to build a natural wild life pond on their own private land that was 25M² and was 4 Meters deep?

Would hypothetically be used for wild life, and private open water swimming; and no I do not have access to any such land where such a large body of water could be accommodated.

Regards: Elliott.

Doubt it if you weren't using it for commercial uses, but you would need to make sure it wasn't a danger to anyone (even trespassers/visitors) and didn't cause a nuisance to any nearby properties. It sounds like an engineering operation building it, so it would need properly designing and building to ensure no disasters.

Having said that, people do ridiculous things

4mtrs is a bit deep unless your having a high diving board.

I'd guess you would need permission, fences, signs, life ring things, the works.
