Plaster over eyesore stone built wall

I have this 1sr floor lounge wall that, although soldly built, is a bit of an eyesore.I would like it plastered, I don't like plasterboard.

Any thoughts?

I thought I had put up images. It's a beauty. I'm quite practical but plastering is beyond me.

Nice easy job for a plasterer...bonding or hardball then skim.
