Plastering after cornice removal

Hi,
I'm hoping you could help me. I just removed some old polystyrene cornice from my wall/ceiling and can see the wall was only skimmed up to the cornice, not behind it. So now there is a dip where the cornice was with some glue marks. What's the best way to clean this up? EasiFill or standard Multi-finish? If using Multi-Finish, should i do two coat like when skimming a wall and feather it in?

First off if its only been plastered up to the cornice there will be a lip on the edge which will have to be cut back until the wall is flat and if your any good with a trowel i would use multi i wouldent bother messing around with filler on such a job

Come straight off? I take it you dont know how to prep a wall to patch that's why you advise to use filler all the time your advice to ops is a joke it ranges from filler to fixing pb on damp walls with gripfill absolutely shocking
