Plastering Mix

Could anyone please tell me what the mix is for plastering for a smooth finish on an exterior breeze block wall. I would wondered if it was possible to plaster over a wooden framework with galvanised mesh pinned to the framework. Is there a chance the plaster mix might fall off?

5 parts plastering sand, 1 part cement and 1 part hydrated lime with feb-mix plasticiser and warterproofer. (use 4 parts sand for the scratch coat)
