Hi all,

I'm polishing this worktop with a roto-orbital sander at low speed (3k rpm or lower) starting from p50 up to p6000 with these cheap diamod disks:

So far, the baker lasted a quarter of the job, but i lucirla didn't need it, and the grain tasting is questionable... attached a picture of a corner where you can see the difference between the original shine and after the p6000+the felt disk... just nowhere near the original shine.

I wonder if giving it a buffing with a compound like this one would do the job?

And I'm looking for some advice on how to reduce those marks you can see on the pictures... my guess is that it has bleached the stone colour, but I have no idea of what I'm doing here... they may be water marks? the previous owner have a stone over that area and it seems fluids trapped in between left those marks. I'm thinking about this product:

I haven't been able to get any useful advise in any shops in Northampton, if you know any business I could approach please let me know.

Update, those cheap diamond disks... the p50 has done just over 1m2 before dying.
