I'm planning to build a couple of steps from my back door and patio doors down to my patio.
The doors are 90cm and 180cm wide respectively so it would be nice to use 900x600 slabs to minimise the number of joints.
I like the idea of porcelain as it will be easier to clean and will weather less, but I have a couple of concerns.
1) How durable is it compared with, let's say, concrete slabs? Is it more likely to chip or crack if something was dropped on the edge?
2) I see porcelain slabs all come with an R11 non slip coating but will they still be slippy when wet?
