Possible pipe damage under floor near boiler

Hi everyone,

I am unsure what’s happened as an area under the floor near the boiler in my upstairs room is damp. I suspect that the pipe underneath the floor was damaged when furniture was moved around recently, but I’m unsure if that’s related. There’s also been an awful smell ever since the damp. Does anyone have an idea of what has possibly happened?

Could be anything. You have no option but to open up that section of the floor and see what story is and then go from there. Do be careful not to cut through any pipe work if boiler close by.
