Batten the Hatches Down- Enda Mulloy. Absolutely lovely fellow and bass player with the Biblecode Sundays.

Who remembers the Plasmatics?

(Song starts at 0:43) WOW!

"The skies on fire from the nuclear flash...thankyou Dr. Strangelove..for bring me to DAMNATION ALLEY"

A good live version of this all-time, stone-cold classic by Hawkwind.

Remember when we all lived in fear of Russia and of nuclear war, and the pop charts contained songs such as this?

Sting recently said that he thought this song would never be relevant again.

So Putin, stop the war now so we don't have to listen to Sting again!

I used to like this group, the Wedding Present. They were superb actually, a Leeds version of the Smiths, but much more fun. I'm reminded of them as they used to do Ukrainian music in amongst all their "indie" rock stuff. One (or more)of the group was of Ukraine descent. I remember one of them scolding an interviewer for saying "THE Ukraine". The THE is wrong, apparently.

The tune might be familiar.
