I am installing 2 600watt dimmer switches to control 6 lights, 4 on one switch and 2 on the other. My question is do I need to run a separate power line for each dimmer or can I just feed both with the same line.

With two 600 watt dimmers adding together to create 1200 watts of power. On 120V it would only draw 10 amps so it will be good enough to run a single 14-2 on a 15amp breaker. With dimmer switches it is a good idea to double check that you lights being dimmed will not exceed 600 watts on either dimmer. Exceeding the rated wattage will cause the dimmer to heat up, in turn creating a safety, and/or fire hazard in your home.

Thank you SparkyRedneck22,
I will only be using 100 watt bulbs in each of the 6 lamp housing for a total of 600 watts.
