can you send PMs via this forum? and if so how?
Yes, you can but first you have to become "Friends" with the individual you are wanting to PM. If you click on the persons name when you see it in blue then click on "add to my friends", once they have accepted it is a case of clicking friends at the top of your page then click send message next to your friends name.
Thanks mods for tolerating my use of the "Software" thread as a stand-in for communicating shopping lists. The staff at my email provider have been unable to sort out the infinite loading loop problem that has started ever since they upgraded their system, so I guess it's down to me to fix it.
In the meantime, whilst you have been very tolerant of my use of public forum messaging, I wonder whether it would be better to use private messaging. That way I could keep the clutter off forum and save you the effort of deleting. Cheers.
