I have a water cooler which has a 2 round prong plug which is 16 amps. The wall socket is a 3 prong UK style so I need an adaptor to plug the cooler in. Trouble is, all the adaptors I can find are 13 amps so the fuses keep blowing. What can I do??? :?

install a dedicated 16 amp circuit. Its the only way.

By the way are you really in the united arab emirates?

I'm sorry, I have no idea what that means!!!

And , yes, I am really in the UAE.

You should really have posted in electrics outside of the UK.

I have no knowledge of the electrical system in UAE, so I am unable to advise further.

crafty is saying that to use a plugtop with a 13 A fuse is wasting your time.

the water coller is drawing more than 13 amps

you need to have a "special" plug and socket that can allow 16 amps to be drawn with no harm,

that is why your water cooler has a round pin plug, its not meant to be plugged into a normal socket

I think you really need to get an electrian who understands local wiring practices.
