Hey, basically I am looking a treehouse but I'm not too keen on putting up a permanent structure. I have been watching some videos and thinking how I could still do it and I have an idea of what I would like but my knowledge on DIY is zero so I don't what to kill my self lol.

I was thinking of attaching a chain or tree strap around a large overhanging branch and attach this to a pulley system which is connected to a wood or metal platform below. I want this platform to be the treehouse. I am going to put small walls around it and fill it with pillows. I want to be able to ascend and descend by pulling on the rope while in the treehouse. I want to be able to ascend into the canopy and then lock myself in place safely.

What type of pulleys system should I use? I was thinking of buying two triple pulleys would this be the best choice? Would I have to build the platform myself? What way should a build the platform that would be most stable and secure while giving me plenty of space? And how would I stop the treehouse securely?

If it's possible I would very much like to do it. It's just that my knowledge of these things is low. Thanks for taking the time to read.

nice idea,
You would probably have to build the platform yourself or else get it fabricated, unless you could find a crate or something of suitable size. I would go for something maybe with a hole through the centre to run your ropes and pulleys, probably suspend it from four corners if it's square, there are plenty of secure locking devices out there try a climbing shop or somewhere that sells rope access gear.
As to whether you've got enough pulleys will depend on how heavy the whole thing will be or how strong you are, you will also need astrong anchor in the ground.
Alternatively you could set it up as a block and tackle arrangement where the bottom set of pulleys moves up with the load, but obviously this would swing around more
