Hello, need to add titles to a Sony monitor. The monitor is connected to a

fibre optic camera connected to its own light source. The monitor itself has

the date and time already on the screen. It would be useful to be able to

title each image individually. Is a multimedia keyboard able to do this?

Strange question.

What is the complete nature of the setup? I'm not sure what you will be connecting the keyboard to.

My thinking is to connect a keyboard between the monitor and camera to

enable titles to be added to the monitor screen.

Does your camera have support for a keyboard or even support captioning?

installing a keyboard between monitor and camera is a novel idea, but how / what are you going to connect it to? a keyboard is only an input device, try google for a monitor title generator.and similar

What is the output of the camera? Is it a standard video output of some form? If so, then you could feed it through a PC (via an appropriate video capture card) and then out to the monitor.

"Genlock"s used to be used for putting titles and such on video, but I've never used one. There were also special devices you could use to add credits to home videos and such like. Perhaps this could be your easy solution? IIRC even Argos used to sell them. perhaps Ebay will offer one up?
