Will be using PVC conduit to house the single cables. Depending on diameter of conduit and cables am permitted just so many cables. Also involved is the number of 'bends' per length of run. More bends = fewer cables. The question in my mind is why the bends (assume 90*) permit fewer cables? One notion is heat build up in the conduit. The other may be difficulty pulling more cables through the bends thus possibly damaging or distorting the cables. Most importantly, what is a 'length of run'? The distance between 2 connection boxes, or the total distance between the CU and the first connection box? Any help appreciated. Found no answer in other forum so try here. Thnx.

If you purchase the On Site Guide, it will explain lengths, number of conductors allowed, bends and show tables of factors and give formulas, so you can work it out.
The question your are asking is not that simple to answer, all you need to know, is in the OSG.

The OSG refers to wiring regulations in the UK.

I have asked the mods to move you to a more appropriate forum.
