Hi all - I'm struggling with the alarm system in our new house. The old owners obviously had ARC monitoring previously, which expired. The alarm was setting and unsetting fine for a while. Now when I unset it at the front door the LCD says 'ARC call fail' and emits two bleeps followed by two higher bleeps until you enter code and NO a few times. I believe the front door one also bleeps when we set the downstairs one from our room at night.

I think I've turned off ARC calling from the normal menu, but I imagine I need to do this in the Engineer Menu? Or worst comes to worst turn off technical fault sounds from the Engineer Menu? However, typing in 1111 just sits there as **** and then eventually reverts to showing the time again (D-> gets into the normal menu). I have also checked to see if Engineer Menu is set to YES, and it is. As well as stopping it trying to contact the ARC, I imagine I need to clear the fault too? The Pyronix manual is as clear as mud. Any ideas?

You need access to the engineer menu, then to communications , ARC/SMS Programming and disable. If 1111 doesn’t work then the installer would have changed it.

As above you will need the engineer code to disable the digi. If you dont have this it is possible to gain entry to the programming menu via a 'back door'. If you dont know how to do this you will have to pay someone who does know to do it for you.
