Pyronix PIR identification

Hi, trying to identify what pyronix PIRs I have to check if they are pet friendly. Opened one up and only code I could see inside was RPCB282. Anyone know what PIR model this could be?

The only difference with the pet one is the lense filter. If u got cats then wouldnt bother

it's just one small cat. But I think it set the alarm off a couple of nights ago.

It will set the alarm off. If you change to pet friendly PIRs it will still set the alarm off. Cats don't stay on the floor in the pet friendly exclusion zone, they climb on furniture and up curtains. Exclude the cat from the areas covered by PIRs when the alarm is set.

Depending on the cat ! I’ve fitted loads of systems with cats , it’s all about asking the questions about the cats and detector location!
I do prefer the rx40pt ( due to be made obsolete) or the Bosch pet tolerant pir ….

Well, the cat is old and does not climb spends most of the time sleeping

thanks. Why do you recommend the rx40pt or Bosch pet tolerant pir? Presume you find them better than the Pyronix kx10dp?

Because I know they work ….and don’t have issues with them ..

I got the Bosch PIRs as recommended by @sparkymarka. Trying to work out how to replace the KX15DQ which has jumpers to set resistance whereas on the Bosch I think I need to use inline resistors.

Here is a photo of the KX15DQ. Resistance jumpers are set as 4K7 on Alarm and 2K2 on Tamper

Do either of these wiring options make sense for the Bosch PIR? If neither, would appreciate any pointers.

Just to close the loop, new PIRs installed and working. Definitely a fair bit less sensitive of humans than the previous non-pet-friendly ones. Hopefully will be ok with the cat. Thanks all for the input
