Pyronix KX15DQ,
Not pet friendly
it's just one small cat. But I think it set the alarm off a couple of nights ago.The only difference with the pet one is the lense filter. If u got cats then wouldnt bother
It will set the alarm off. If you change to pet friendly PIRs it will still set the alarm off. Cats don't stay on the floor in the pet friendly exclusion zone, they climb on furniture and up curtains. Exclude the cat from the areas covered by PIRs when the alarm is set.it's just one small cat. But I think it set the alarm off a couple of nights ago.
Well, the cat is old and does not climb spends most of the time sleepingDepending on the cat ! I’ve fitted loads of systems with cats , it’s all about asking the questions about the cats and detector location!
I do prefer the rx40pt ( due to be made obsolete) or the Bosch pet tolerant pir ….
thanks. Why do you recommend the rx40pt or Bosch pet tolerant pir? Presume you find them better than the Pyronix kx10dp?So should be ok with if ….your cat can’t get within 1 M of the detector ….no detectors face stairs ….
