Re-Roofing My Shed?

Hello so I've got a future project I'm going to be doing with me and some mates, I have a shed that we're gonna do up and we're looking for advice? Now I'm fairly competent with the electrical side of things so that's not a issue. Here's some photos now my granddads a builder but he said he doesn't want anything to do with it as it's to much work and he wouldn't be getting paid >.< He said you'd be better of knocking it down and rebuilding it... That's not a option!

As you can see it's currently asbestos sheeting (luckily my granddad lives next door and said we can put the sheets in a old shed at the top of the garden where he's put his. No one uses it and it's out the way don't worry.

The plan it to redo the roof (taking all the old timber out e.g beams etc and putting new stuff up) then replacing it with Plywood and felt it. Now could we get away with putting the sheets up without any extra beams or whatever? Basically like it is now but with ply.

Once we've done the roof we want to cover up the breeze blocks I'm thinking 4 to 1 cement scratch coat "with waterproofer???" Then covering the scratch coat with 4 to 1 again (we've decided against browning then normal plaster for damp reasons, although I'd love to have a nice smooth wall if there's any way of plastering it without drylining it please say? (not sure if the shed was waterproofed when they rendered it) This is gonna be semi livable basically like a chill area, as we can't smoke in the house or have parties I would like a bit of guidance on what we should do with what I've mentioned.

When I re-roofed mine I used 18mm thick ply with 5mm thick felt. Naturally the ply did sag slightly under the weight of what is quite thick roofing felt, so I had to put in a new, thicker support beam down the middle like yours' has. My shed is 8' wide. Ply is generally sold in 8' x 4' lengths - I can't see any measurements in your post, but you may be able to get away with just the one beam, so long as the span between the wall and the beam isn't too large (i.e. the ply doesn't sag).

I might use shingles but I need to go for the cheapest options for the moment as I'm currently on 5.75 n' hour soon going up once I'm 18

Anyway regarding your query if you want it usable in winter you'll have to think about insulation. How are you going to warm it?
I think even rock wool might be over your budget but try to leave space for at least roof insulation. The walls you should ideally insulate outside, if the walls are in bad condition anyway you could batten outside, Rockwool and breathable membrane, then you can over clad with whatever you like.

The roof will be insulated with Knauf Earthwool as I have alot of that lying around, the walls I'm not sure maybe battoning with waterproofing then celotex, I don't really wanna skim the plasterboard either as I'm not that good at skimming that's sort of the last option. If It comes to it we'll have to get some space heaters or something

For a ply deck, or any other timber sheet, you will need joists spaced either 400 or 600 mm apart.
