I am a secretary for a committee that meets a few times a year. We have three or four people who live a long way from where we meet. We have been using "Go to Meeting" but it costs £144 per year.
Is there a cheaper, or free, alternative?
I have been wondering if Skype is good when there are more than two people on line, it is good to see and hear everyone.
Any advice will be appreciated

try zoom.us. it's free for up to 100 people but has a 40 minute limit. If you want more it's 12 quid a month.

some of my clients use it and it's certainly better than cisco webex

John,

In terms of skype you are looking for "Group Chat" and more details are here https://www.skype.com/en/features/group-video-chat/

This has a fair usage policy which states and I think it still meets your requirement.
"Group video calls are subject to a fair usage limit of 100 hours per month with no more than 10 hours per day and a limit of 4 hours per individual video call. Once these limits have been reached, the video will switch off and the call will convert to an audio call."
