Remove and reinsert sim???

Iphone, and this notification message keeps appearing, since I changed providers from Plusnet to EE, keeping my original number. Plusnet, used EE's network.

'Remove and reinsert sim....' which I have done a couple of times, but the message keeps appearing, though everything works as normal. How do I stop it please?
 
Did you use a new sim from EE and has your number ported yet?

If so there may be two numbers stored in the phone so it is asking for the sim as it's not syncing

Try and turn off facetime / imessage / screentime within settings and then remove/reinsert the sim.

New sim installed when it arrived, and it has been in and all working fine for months..

Thanks, I'll try that, but could be a few weeks before I know whether it worked - the notifications are every few weeks..
