I had a blockage in my toilet - after trying various methods to clear it I finally invested in a 'drain snake'. This cleared the blockage - but I'm left with metal marks in the bowl from the spiral of the snake. Initially I thought it was grease but now I'm not so sure. I'm pretty sure it's not scratched. So far I've tried various ways to remove it with no success:
1. Kitchen pan scourer (one of those green abrasive pads) with a general purpose cleaner
2. Ordinary toilet bleach and toilet brush
3. Washing soda

Any suggestions please?

Before going to the expense of buying something I looked around to see what else I had in the house.
Viakal Ultra took it off, no problems.

Your toilet pan is enamel. You should never use Viakal on enamel!!! It really damages the surface of the enamel. Trust me, I know, I’ve done it.

I’ve taken the sheen off the bottom of our enamel bath using that stuff on it. Never again.

No, Sunshine32. My toilet bowl isn't enamel - it's ceramic. The label warns about using it on old/damaged enamel but it's OK on ceramic. It even has a picture of a toilet bowl on the label

Ah yes, silly me. Our enamel bath wasn’t old or previously damaged but that didn’t make a difference sadly. Never mind.
