Hi there, wonder if anyone can help. I recently had some plastering done and the plasterers have plastered over a newly installed upvc window frame (a vertical porch window). Not by a small amount but about 50% of the width of the frame. When I brought this up the plasterer complained about the quality of the walls and how hard they were to plaster and said I could put some beading over. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I might clean up this mess, whether beading or cutting the overhang of the plaster? Any advice greatly appreciated.

that's shocking work I would never leave my customers like that

Haha to be fair I've seen a lot worse then this it's shocking what some people try to pass off as plastering unfortunately this are the people who are offering to plaster full rooms for £100-£150. Then us genuine plasterers get the grief for being expensive because we have to charge to go back and remove all the old plaster and do it right.

They were professional plasterers who we found on checkatrade, I get the feeling that they hadn't realised how poor the walls were and how much old plaster they'd have to knock off (even though the walls had already been stripped of wallpaper when they quoted so I'd have thought they'd have noticed that the old plaster was blown in places) and so they rushed the job to complete it in the time they had allocated.

still poor workmenship though u always allow a bit of extra time for unforeseen circumstances, I was taught to go the extra mile for my customer that why u get repeat custom and you are more likely to recommend me to others, I have a hoover that I use as I like to keep it clean.
