HI FOLKS NEED SOME ADVICE ON EXTERIOR RENDERING OF A VICTORIAN HOUSE. I VE CURRENTLY GOT SOMEONE RENDERING THE HOUSE. ORIGINALLY THEY SAID THEY WOULD STRIP BACK THE HOUSE TO BRICKWORK BUT HAVE STOPPED SHORT AND LEFT SOME OF THE OLD RENDERING ON THE WALL SAYING THAT IT WAS SOLID AND BY REMOVING IT COULD CAUSE MORE DAMAGE TO THE BRICKWORK AND TO MY INTERIOR WALLS. MY QUESTION I ASKED HAS MIXED RESPONSES BUT IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO RENDER ON SOLID RENDER - THEY ARE APPLYING A WATER PROOF SCRATCH COAT THEN 4 TO 1 LIME BASED RENDERING OR SHOULD IT ALL BE TAKEN OFF BEFORE RENDERING??? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED ! MANY THANKS !
