Hi
I've got an engineered wood oak floor, brushed and oiled finish. There are various marks where coffee / red wine / god knows what has been spilled on it and not cleaned up quickly enough.
If I rub and rub at these marks they pretty much come off but it leaves a patch that is lighter than the rest of the floor, presumably where I've rubbed the finish away. There is one mark that hasn't come off and look like it might if I were to sand it - which obviously would completely remove the finish so I haven't dared to it yet
My plan is to buy some some oil to apply to these areas. I also have some offcuts that were kept when the floor was laid so I can test out the process of sanding a patch and then applying the oil.
This is what I was thinking of buying:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HDRK...olid=3NYY86SX91GBW&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
I wondered if anyone could advise, on 2 things - firstly is the above a good plan and second is the oil in the link there the right choice of product?
As I say I've got off cuts so I can test it before using on the acutal floor but I thought I'd post the question here first as the oil is quite expensive.
Thanks for any help
