Trying to replace Heatmiser (RF v1.2) receiver for my UFH (wet - 1 room) with a Hive receiver (to match rest of the house). Need some advice on the wiring.
Which terminal corresponds with which?

I'm assuming
N = N
L = L
Earth = Earth

BUT where do these go??

COM 1 = 1 (?)
NO1 =
LS =
LR =

When I swapped the receiver for the rest of the house, it was a piece of cake - now I've got "I bloody told you it would be more complicated than you thought" ringing in my ears and orange / grey wires for [presumably] the valve/pump that I don't know what to do with! HELP!!

Unfortunately they are not compatible.

As you can see from the diagram below, the Heatmiser contains two terminals for controlling the boiler, and as it appears that you have wires in the terminals that use this function marked LS and LR it is being used.

Hive doesn't have this functionality, it only has the HW and CH functions

[I've shown a Dual Channel Hive for comparison only as the Heatmiser is a Dual Channel device, but as there is only one channel being used and there aren't any HW wires involved in your installation, a Single Chanel Hive would be better for you].

The Heatmiser receiver is normally installed when there isn't any boiler control switch used inside the heating control valve, so the receiver has to do it. See the Heating valve in the example below where the contact inside the heating valve isn't connected.

In the above instance, the unused switch in the Heating Valve could be connected to the wires in LS and LR, or if there isn't a switch, it may be possible for a relay could be wired across the Heating Valve N & L and the wires in LS and LR re-directed to the relay contact. [You don't have a hot water system connected to your receiver, so you can ignore that bit]

EDIT
Having thought about this a bit more whilst I was running. I always think better when running :giggle:

I wonder if the original installer has wired it using the the motorised valve switch and the Heatmiser Receiver boiler switch as well. I suspect this, as there appear to be orange and grey wires in LS and LR. (Orange and grey wires are the colours of the wires from a motorised valve's switch.) If you check and that is the case then simply leave the wires in LS connected together, and the Wires in LR connected together. But not connected to Hive.

I suspect the original installer didn't really understand what how the system works and may have connected two devices doing exactly the same thing. The useless wire between Heatmiser COM1 and COM 2 also suggests lack of understanding.
