Hi - I'm in the process of replacing my Danfoss RX1 receiver with my Hive receiver (connections shown below):

The original Danfoss back plate is shown below:

My questions are:

  1. Can I just move the wire from contact "2" to contact "1"?
  2. Do I need to worry about "Off" on a single channel combi-boiler?
  3. Any ideas what is going on with the two earth wires?
  4. Should I replace the Danfoss back plate with the Hive back plate

Any help is greatly appreciated, many thanks.

This has been asked several time already. There's an explanation here.

The backplate should fit, but I always change them as then both halves (which includes the electrical contacts) will be new together.

They are connected together and isolated, as they always should be when not required for the accessory or appliance.

Never cut off unnecessary wires. They might be needed one day.
