Repressurising Greenstar 24i junior condensing combi boiler

Hi,

Partner and I have just got back from holiday to find our hot water and heating isn't working on the Greenstar 24i junior combo boiler. Cannot contact our landlord today (need hot water to wash up and shower) we're pretty certain the problem is the pressure on the boiler as it's at low.

We watched the Worcester video on repressurising and the key is nowhere to be found and there are no holes to insert the key on the bottom of the boiler (please find pictures attached)

Leads me to believe there is another way to repressurise the boiler we just can't figure it out. Any help would be immensely appreciated!

Hi,No

Thanks but there isn't a silver braided pipe anywhere on the bottom of the boiler. We've only got copped pipes...could it be one of those?

Tap directly above the blue pipe does nothing except dribble water when opened, so is not the keyless repressurising lever.

Also, the brass cap on the pipe with the blue pipe connecting has a drip coming out of it - could be where your pressure has been going if that is a constant drip. Might be worth checking
 
As @martyndc88 said, you need to join the two red circled pipes together with a filling loop (silver braided hose) to fill the boiler.

Hopefully the hose is tucked on top of the boiler or somewhere where you can get to it. You will need a spanner to undertake the job.

@dannymassive the one with the drip is their cold mains, won’t affect pressure loss on the heating side, however the OP may get a bit wet when that brass cap is removed.

@mrStat Well spotted, I don't know why I mentioned the pressure loss as it's bimmin' obvious that it's the cold feed!! #facepalm! Brass cap still looks like is dripping though?!

Thank you so much for all your answers!

Couldn't find a pipe so went a bought one from screw fix - next question - which end goes on which pipe? One end of the hose has a black on/off tap and the other doesn't!

Looks like there is an isolation valve on the far end pipe which will need opening with a flat head screw driver - once the filling loop pipe is connected. Then you can turn the black plastic tap until the pressure is at the correct level. Then turn off the tap, close the isolation valve and remove the filling loop.

We managed to repressurise the boiler finally so thank you so much for all your help, definitely couldn't have done it without you! :)
