Hi there I am installing a new 3rd gen Nest Thermostate which is replacing our old siemens RDE100.1 wireless one.
On the wall the old seimens is has connectors that fit into slot on the wall.
I have no idea what the zones are so i can't find which slot they go into on the nest.
Can anyone provide any advice :-).

Q14 is Black ( i think this is the central heating?)
Q11 has a brown wire in.
Q11 seems to also be connected to Q21 (nest doesn't need any wire connecting sockets apparently, so I can remove it?).
Q24 is Grey.

We have a Boiler, with water tank and central heating.
Can anyone help me?
I have attached two pictures.

11 and 21 are permanent lives, 14 and 24 are the switched lives, no neutrals are involved because it’s also battery powered. You need a permanent live and permanent neutral for your nest, long with switching wires.

Thanks, just to add it will be plugged into the mains. so that will provide the power, live and neutral.
just wasn't sure which wire goes into which slot on the nest.

That image is a Nest designed for and sold in North America. It isn't available in the UK and would be useless even if it was.

The UK Nest has a separate box which requires mains power and connections to the control wires. Normally installed adjacent to the boiler or where other components are wired - not on the wall where the old thermostat was. The existing wiring to the Siemens thermostat is not suitable as there is no neutral.

thanks for the advice, had no idea the next we were looking at was US version! Will get an expert in to fit it! told it was a simple DIY job but i don't think it is!

No point the US version will not work here, you need to send it back and get a UK version
