Risco Lightsys2 bus connected Lumin8

Hi, I have a Lightsys2 alarm system with a bus connected Alumin8 external sounder. I am wondering if/how it can be set to ignore the loss of mains and battery on the alarm control box while maintenance is carried out. I would prefer it not to be ringing while work is carried out.

There should be an option to put the bell in hold off mode, but would have to check the manual So you should be able to do that.

normally bus operated bells automatically go into hold off when engineer mode entered. Once in that mode down powering the panel leaves it there. If that is or isn’t the case it should say in the manuals for the bell or lightsys specifucally

Thanks, I can’t find anything in the manuals for either the lumin8 or lightsys. The lumin8 manual does talk about removing the 12V for 3 seconds to enter engineer mode but this only applies to stand alone mode. The relevant dip switch to enable this has a completely different use when in bus mode. I guess I will just have to try it out to see if engineer mode on the lightsys has the desired effect.
