Hi All,

I took of the original door contact that was in the garage and bought the below without thinking.

Now realised the garage door has this metal part so can I still use this door contact and would it work with a pyronix euro 46?

Thanks.

Looking at the bottom of your door then no,that contact wouldn't work.
Post photo of inside of garage door. You can use that contact on others doors and will work with your 46s.
You need an armoured roller shutter door contact . (Not a grade 3 version )and a junction box.

This might help.

Hi,

Heres a few more pics, where you see the rawl plugs the previous owners had a white plastic door contact,

Note that I only have a two core running to the garage and cannot run a new cable.

As jo has told you it needs a roller shutter contact plus a junction box and resistors ….4.7k and 2.2k or a roller shutter with this value allready incorporated….

Will 2 wires back to control panel be adequate?

If it’s wired EOL ( end of line ) then yes
Hello again,

So I have 2 white wires (zone)
2 red wires ( tamper)

And a blue and green coming from the junction panel.

How do I wire this with EOL

I have the 6 terminal junction box.

To make it easier for you ….can you find the cable at the control panel end ? ( it could be slaved off something else ) if it’s a separate cable then 4 wire it , 2 to zone , 2 to tamper …

Best i can do lol

Thanks I’ll get that wired up and see how it goes.

Another question about an internal door contact thats set as final exit doesn’t seem to do anything. Heres my wiring

Red going back to Z2 on keypad
Black going back to - on keypad
Input 74

What my doing wrong?

Thanks.

Check zone 74 l input is programmed.
You can check zone status from diagnostic in engineering.
Make sure contact lid is on when testing.

I coded it yes, final exit input 74 no errors,

Set the alarm it counted down, then moved the door contact, hoping it would then count down 30 secs but it does nothing.

Could it be faulty?

It could be faulty, u can test with a multimeter across the 2 alarm terminals to see if it is going open/closed circuit when the magnet is removed/applied

Can this be done without being physically wired up?
