First time on this forum but I've been learning a lot from this website recently. So useful, as I'm renovating my house (untouched since 1970s).
I've not found any information on this topic anywhere. Can anyone advise?
I want to line the walls of my bathroom, around the bath, with studded rubber sheet. I have put up new moisture resistant plasterboard which will be the substrate. The rubber will go from ceiling down to just below bath rim level.
1. Should I first seal the plasterboard with PVA?
2. Do I need to fill joint gaps between the boards?
3. What would be the best adhesive to use? I'm dreading the answer will be contact adhesive and then I'll be under pressure to make that first placement the right placement.
4. Where the rubber ends mid wall, do I need to seal that edge with clear silicone sealer, or use a metal trim?
5. I'm assuming I'll need to cut each wall piece individually and not fold on internal corners - is that right?
6. Can I silicon seal around the bath onto the rubber?
7. Are there any other issues that I need to consider?
