I'm sure this has been asked a million times and people are sick of noobs like me asking it again but I am still a bit confused and everywhere I look it seems like I get different answers. This is my first time asking a question on this board so if more information is needed feel free to ask.
In a few months I will be moving into a house with some other students. Unfortunately, the living room seems to have been turned into another bedroom so now we don't have a place to hang out. Fortunately we have a brick shed/outbuilding just a few meters away from our kitchen in the back garden (though since I will be running the extension cord along the outside wall it will probably end up being just over 10m). I am pretty sure the shed doesn't have any power and people online from what I've seen tend to agree that for short-term temporary use of an extension cord outdoors will be fine. I was wondering if I could get an extension cord (I was looking at the following: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07BB6ZGNQ?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_W23J0J77HKAXD4593D82_2), plug it into the kitchen plug with a Masterplug RCD plug and then encase it in the following https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07K7NBJN1?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_7GNHD18NBC80DP9C8DA5
I would then run this along the wall outside and into the shed where I would only really be using a TV, XBox and maybeeeee a small 20L portable mini fridge (I am not sure of this though since I don't know if I want to leave the plug on all night so might just use an ice box). All in all, assuming I turn the plug off overnight, is this a bad solution? It has thermal cutout protection, RCD plug and is encased in rubber just in case, plus it would be turned off most of the time and only have a very small load on it when it's in use. Is this unsafe?
I was also recently suggested to use an RV 3pin cable instead and that I am better off getting a UK male to female RV 3pin socket (something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09TLCND48?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_FVYG68MR6V85DAMM68AK) into my shed and then buy something like this https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/mayp...RkpJehB2TOFn4Q5MCdcwodJNKVfanbYEaAuQ_EALw_wcB so I can plug TV into it? If it's safer that's all I care about and I just want to make sure. Would an RCD plug be useful as well in this case? Which solution is better or are they both terrible?
